Who we are

Myrtle Roy, RN, BSN, MBA, PMP

Built on over two decades at the bedside

Myrtle Roy, RN, BSN, MBA, PMP founded Evidentia Legal Nursing Group on a simple conviction: that attorneys deserve a clinical partner who has truly worked the floor, managed the crisis, and understood what nursing care is supposed to look like — and when it falls short.

With a nursing career spanning over two decades, Myrtle has worked across some of the most demanding environments in clinical medicine — medical-surgical units, medical telemetry, emergency departments, and high-acuity trauma settings. She later transitioned into healthcare leadership, overseeing the operations of multi-site urgent care facilities. That progression — from bedside RN to operational director — gave her a rare dual perspective: she understands both the moment-to-moment realities of patient care and the systemic standards that govern how that care should be delivered.

Today, she applies that depth of experience to the demands of medical litigation. When attorneys retain Evidentia, they work directly with Myrtle — not a generalist contractor. Every case review, every standard of care analysis, and every expert opinion letter carries the weight of her full clinical history.

Her philosophy

"Every patient deserves care that meets the standard — and every attorney deserves to know exactly when it didn't."

Myrtle's clinical philosophy has always centered on two principles: treating patients with genuine professionalism and respect, and being an uncompromising advocate for nursing standards of care. Those same principles define how she approaches legal consulting.

Her analysis is not shaped by which side retains her — it is shaped by what the medical record shows, what the standard of care requires, and what a qualified nurse in that setting should have done. Attorneys on both the plaintiff and defense side rely on that objectivity.

Her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification reflects a systematic approach to every engagement. Case files are organized. Timelines are precise. Deliverables are clear and attorney-ready. Myrtle runs each consultation the way she ran clinical operations: with accountability, rigor, and a commitment to getting it right.

Michael Roy, MBA, CISSP, PMP

Built on decades at the intersection of technology, information security, and the law

Michael Roy, MBA, CISSP is the co-founder and Chief Information Security Officer of Evidentia Legal Nursing Group. He brings to the firm what few legal nurse consulting practices can claim: a dedicated technology and security executive whose entire career has been spent protecting sensitive information in high-stakes environments.

Michael's background spans enterprise information security, enterprise technology leadership, and C-suite executive roles across multiple industries. As a Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, he has built and led security programs for complex organizations — designing the frameworks, protocols, and controls that keep sensitive data protected and operations accountable. That experience is not incidental to Evidentia's work. It is foundational to it.

When attorneys retain Evidentia, they are trusting the firm with some of the most sensitive materials in their practice — medical records, case strategies, and protected health information. Michael ensures that trust is warranted. Every case file is handled through HIPAA-compliant, encrypted systems. Every document exchange follows protocols he designed. Every engagement is managed with the same rigor he has applied to enterprise security programs throughout his career.

His Project Management Professional background and MBA give him fluency in both the operational and business dimensions of running a firm that serves sophisticated legal clients. He understands what attorneys need — not just technically, but professionally.

Together, Myrtle and Michael bring a combination that is rare in legal nurse consulting: deep clinical expertise and enterprise-grade information security, operating under the same roof, on every case.
